What Is Legacy 2027?
Legacy 2027 is a season-long celebration of Big Walnut Lacrosse — where we’ve been, who we are, and where we’re going.
In 2027, Big Walnut Lacrosse will mark 20 years as a program and 10 years as an officially sanctioned high school sport. Legacy 2027 is our opportunity to honor the players, coaches, families, and community members who built this program, while inspiring the next generation to carry it forward.
This celebration will include youth, middle school, high school, alumni, coaches, families, and supporters — because the legacy of Big Walnut Lacrosse belongs to all of us.
Our Purpose
Legacy 2027 exists to:
- Honor the history and growth of Big Walnut Lacrosse
- Celebrate the people who shaped the program over the last 20 years
- Strengthen connections between alumni, current players, and youth
- Capture stories and memories that will live beyond the 2027 season
What to Expect During the 2027 Season
Throughout the Spring 2027 season (March–May), Legacy 2027 will feature:
- Weekly Legacy-Themed Game Days across youth, middle school, and high school teams
- Alumni Recognition & Alumni Game Events from the past 20 years
- A Legacy 2027 Video Project featuring former and current players and coaches
- Community-wide celebrations that connect all levels of the program
- Throwback photos, stories, and milestones
Some events will be small and meaningful. Others will be big and memorable. All will be rooted in celebrating our shared history.
Who Is Legacy 2027 For?
Legacy 2027 is for:
- Former players and coaches
- Current youth, middle school, and high school players
- Families and volunteers
- Supporters of Big Walnut Lacrosse, past and present
If you’ve worn the jersey, coached on the sideline, cheered from the stands, or helped build the program — you are part of the legacy.
How You Can Be Involved
There are many ways to take part in Legacy 2027:
- Share photos, videos, and memories from any era of Big Walnut Lacrosse
- Attend alumni and recognition events during the 2027 season
- Volunteer to support planning, events, or content collection
- Help us reconnect with alumni and former coaches
